ORDER

This petition is filed seeking direction to the learned Principal District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Tiruchuli to expedite the trial process and complete the same within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

2.The case in CC.No.158 of 2021 was registered for the offences punishable under Section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act against the petitioner. Now, the grievance of the petitioner is that even though originally the case was registered in 2018, on the point of jurisdiction, it was transferred to the learned Principal District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Tiruchuli. However, it is kept pending without any progress. 3.Considering the oldness of the matter, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Tiruchuli, to expedite the trial process in C.C.No.158 of 2021 and complete the same within a period of 5 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After disposing the same on merits, compliance report must be submitted to the Registry. 4.With the aforesaid direction, this petition stands disposed of.
