PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to take action against the 4th respondent under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 based on the petitioners representation dated 30.09.2021 within time limit stipulated by this Court. For R1 : Ms.Farjana Ghoushia Special Government Pleader For R2 & R3 : Mr.R.Sivakumar Government Advocate (Crl.Side) O RDER This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take action against the fourth respondent under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 based on the representation made by the petitioner on 30.09.2021 2.The petitioner is the step-mother of the fourth respondent. According to the petitioner, she is not being taken care of by the fourth respondent and the fourth respondent has also managed to sell the property belonging to the petitioner's husband. It is in these circumstances, the petitioner gave a representation to the respondents 1 to 3. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition was filed before this Court. 3.

In the considered view of this Court, the Revenue Divisional Officer is the competent authority under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 to deal with any such complaint.
