ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the impugned Refusal Check Slip dated 19.06.2025 passed by 2nd Respondent and consequently to direct the 2nd respondent to register the settlement deed and release the same within the time frame as fixed by this Court.
2. Through the impugned order, the respondent has refused to register by stating that there is a joint patta stands in the name of the petitioner along with Soundarapandian.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it is an admitted fact that one Soundarapandian was added as a party and patta was issued. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has approached the revenue authorities. The revenue authorities have considered the petitioner's claim and passed a detailed order stating that adding Soundarapandian is inappropriate and therefore, directed to delete the same. The petitioner is having patta under UDR. The petitioner' name was placed in the UDR patta. Therefore, the impugned order is liable to be dismissed.
4. Accordingly, the impugned refusal check slip dated 19.06.2025 is 2/4
hereby quashed. The 2nd respondent is directed to register the settlement deed in favour of the petitioner. Further the 2nd respondent is also directed to register the order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, dated 09.08.2019. 5.. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
