This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.297 of 2021, dated 25.05.2021 on the file of the first Respondent Police.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the investigation in Crime No.297 of 2021 has been completed and final report has also been laid before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambasamuthiram on 25.05.2022.

3. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the offence under Section 269 of IPC., is punishable only with fine. Therefore, even when the argument of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is accepted that the final report is laid after one year. 4.Based on the objection by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the F.I.R. in Crime No.297 of 2/4
