PRAYER :- Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents herein, their men and agents or any one on their behalf from in any manner conferring first honour to any of the members of Thennilai Nattars on 28.06.2026 in Kandadevi Sri Swarnamoortheeswarar, Kumkumakaliamman Temple Festival on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner dated 18.06.2026 made to the respondents herein for peaceful conduct of temple festival and drawing Temple Car with participation of people without any discrimination.

ORDER

The writ petition is filed for a Mandamus forbearing the respondents, their menagents, or anyone acting on their behalf, from in any manner conferring first honour on any member of the Thennilai Nattars on 28.06.2026 during the Kadadevi Sri Swarnamoortheeswarar, Kumkumakaliamman Temple Festival, based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 18.06.2026. 2/4

2. At the outset, in the absence of any person representing the said Thennilai Nattars being impleaded as a party, this Court cannot positively grant any relief sought for by the petitioner.

3. When the matter came up for admission, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the temple would submit that in view of the inter se dispute between the parties, no honor is proposed to be given to any of the parties. The same is recorded and the writ petition stands disposed of. If the petitioner wants positive relief, he is at liberty to file a fresh writ petition on the same cause of action by impleading the person against whom the relief is sought. No costs.
