This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.10 of 2022, dated 07.04.2022 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Police Station, Trichy. 2.The learned Counsel for the Petitioner would submit that based on the complaint of the second Respondent, an First Information Report was registered in Crime No.10 of 2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 419 and 420 of IPC and Sections 66D and 84D of Information Technology Act 2000. After registration of the First Information Report, the matter was amicably settled between the parties. Therefore the petitioner seeks quashment of the First Information Report. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that after registering the case, the accused was arrested and sent to remand. In the course of the investigation, the Petitioner's relatives approached the DeFacto Complainant and settled the amount, that is alleged have been obtained by the Petitioner herein on the pretext for getting visa. Based on the same, when the Petitioner moved the bail before the learned Judicial 2/4
Magistrate No.II, Trichirapalli, the De-Facto Complainant had also appeared through learned Counsel and made a representation that he had received the entire amount and he does not want to proceed further and the subject matter ended in compromise. Based on the said representation, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Trichirappalli holding Full Additional Charge Judicial Magistrate No.V, Tiruchirappalli had granted bail to the Petitioner dated 24.08.2022 in Cr.M.P.No.20730 of 2022. Now the Petitioner seeks to quash the First Information Report. He further submits that in this matter money had been handed over to the De-Facto Complainant and the F.I.R. may be quashed.
4.Considering the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the F.I.R. in Crime No.10 of 2022, dated 07.04.2022 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Police Station, Trichy is hereby quashed.
