O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction directing first respondent to protect the Sree Kathalivanaeshwarar Temple's grove lands in Survey No.613/2 and its extent of 3.22.5 Hectrs of Karuppukudipatty Hamlet, Thirukalambur Village, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 on instructions would submit that the property comprised in S.No.613/3 to an extent of 1.24.5 hectare situated at Karuppukudipatty Hamlet, Thirukalambur Village, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukkottai District was gifted 2/4

in favour of the Education Department to construct the Government High School. That apart, the said land is classified as Government Thoppu Proamboke and as such it was now reclassified and handed over the Education Department to construct the Government High School.

4. In view of the above, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and it is devoid of merits and it is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.
