... Respondents PRAYER: Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Court Act, 1971, to punish the respondents herein for their willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD) No.6448 of 2019 dated 19.03.2019 of this Court. Prayer in WP(MD). 6448/ 2019 :

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to revise the pension benefits and pension arrears, etc with effect from 01.10.2014 and payment of the monetary benefit with effect from 01.10.2017 to till the date of payment at the rate of 12% per Annum payable for the said monetary benefits as per the VIIth Pay Commission Tamilnadu Govt. pension Orders 2017 before retired 2016 on the base of 194th board meeting dated 26.11.2018 passed a resolution in Resolution No.7/2018-19, as per G.O.MS.No.134 Transport(D) Department, dated 09.04.2018.

ORDER

Recording the submission of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents that the order of this Court dated 19.03.2019 has been complied with and the petitioner's representation has been considered on 23.12.2019, this Court is of the view that the disobedience alleged in the contempt petition may not amount to a willful disobedience. Hence, this Contempt Petition is closed. If at all the petitioner is aggrieved against the order dated 23.12.2019, it is open to him to challenge the same in accordance with law. Consequently, connected sub applications are closed.
