O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed for a direction to the second respondent to produce the person or body of the petitioner's daughter, the detenue namely Sundaravalli @ Priyadharshini, D/o.Paulpandi, aged about 18 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

2.The case of the petitioner is that his daughter aged about 18 years, was doing internship at Kannan Hospital and that she had gone to hospital on 01.07.2025 and she did not return back from the hospital. Despite the search, she was not found. Therefore, the petitioner had given a complaint before the second respondent, based on which, a case in Crime No.351 of 2025 was registered under "Woman Missing". Despite registration of the case on 02.07.2025, the second respondent had not taken any steps to find out the whereabouts of the missing person, thereby, the petitioner has approached this Court.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the case was registered in Crime No.351 of 2025 under Woman Missing, During the course of investigation, the alleged missing person was traced at Tiruppur. 4.Today the missing person is produced before this Court. 5.We enquired the missing person, she stated that she was in love affair with one Muthumani, who is a resident of same locality since the said Muthumani belongs to a different community it was opposed by her family and thereby she had voluntarily gone along with the said Muthumani and got married with him in the Temple and living with him at Tiruppur, she submitted that she is not under illegal detention of anybody.

6.We find that the alleged missing person is aged about 18 years and she had expressed her willingness to go along with her husband and she is not under illegal detention of anybody.
