ORDER
The Criminal Revision Case is directed against the Judgment of conviction passed in C.A.No.152 of 2017, dated 26.08.2019, on the file of the learned VI Additional District and Sessions Judge, Madurai, reversing the judgment of acquittal passed in S.T.C.No.52 of 2013, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II (Fast Track), Madurai, dated 31.10.2014.
2. Today ( 19.04.2022), when the matter is taken up for hearing, both counsel on record would submit that they have already filed joint compromise memo in Crl.M.P.(MD)No.4492 of 2022. The petitioner and the respondent appeared in person before this Court. The contents of the joint compromise memo are read over and explained to both the parties and they would admit the same. The joint compromise memo filed by both the parties is recorded.
3. In view of the compromise entered between the parties, the offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act stands https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
CRL.R.C.(MD).No.684 of 2019 compounded under Section 147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Consequently, the Criminal Revision Case is allowed and the judgment of the Appellate Court passed in C.A.No.152 of 2017, dated 26.08.2019, on the file of the learned VI Additional District and Sessions Judge, Madurai, is set aside and the accused is acquitted from the charges levelled against him. Bail bond if any, executed by the accused shall stand discharged. Consequently, Crl.M.P.(MD) No.4492 of 2022 is ordered and the other connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
