ORDER
The present criminal original petition has been filed by the accused person in Crime No.211 of 2026 on the file of the first respondent police seeking a direction to the second respondent to return the bulls to the petitioner in the light of the representation dated 17.06.2026.
2.The petitioner is an accused in Crime No.211 of 2026 on the file of the first respondent police wherein he is alleged to have committed offenses under Section 303(2) of BNS, 2023 r/w. Section 21(1) of Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957.
3.A perusal of the FIR further reveals that the petitioner is alleged to have committed theft of sand and when the police intercepted, he had left the bulls and ran away. The bulls have been seized and handed over to the second respondent. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the first respondent submitted that since no one was available to take care of the bulls, they have been handed over to the second respondent / Kosalai for their maintenance. 5.There shall be a direction to the second respondent to hand over the bulls to the petitioner after obtaining proper acknowledgement from the petitioner. petitioner is directed to bear the expenses for the maintenance amount of the above said Kosalai at the rate of Rs.250/- per day till the bulls are handed over to the petitioner.
6.With the aforesaid directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of. 01.07.2026 ias Issue order copy on 01.07.2026.
