O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the learned Principal District Judge, Pudukkottai, for expeditious disposal of S.C.No.30 of 2022.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners/accused Nos.4 and 5 that inspite of lapse of more than 10 years from the date of registration of the case, the trial is not yet commenced, thereby, sought for suitable directions to the trial Court to dispose the case within a time stipulated by this Court.

3. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondent, on the other hand, submits that the case is posted to 16.08.2023 for service of summons against the accused Nos.4 and 11 and that the respondent Police would make all efforts to get the summons served against those accused persons.

4. Considering the circumstances, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondents Police to serve summons against the accused Nos.4 and 11 by the date of next hearing and on appearance 2/4

of those accused, the trial Court is directed to proceed with the case immediately after framing of charges and complete the trial as expeditiously as possible not later than eight months from the date of service of summons to the accused persons.
