The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in STC No. 287 of 2016 on the file of the Fast Track Court(Magistrate Level), Karaikudi.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing on 18.10.2019, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Hence, the matter was posted under the caption "for dismissal" on 21.10.2019. 3.Even today(21.10.2019), there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Hence, the criminal original petition is dismissed for non prosecution. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. The learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the petitioner never appeared before the trial court and Non Bailable Warrant is pending against the petitioner. Since, the case is pending from the year 2016, the trial court is directed to complete the trial within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
