COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writs of Mandamus, forbearing the second respondent from evicting the petitioners from S.F.No.18/1 in Rathinakkottai Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District with an extent of 0.0040.0 sq.meters, 0.0095.0 sq.meters, 0.0100.0 sq.meters, 0.0100.0 sq. meters and 0.00520 sq. meters respectively as per notice in Na.Ka.No.3473/2017/A1, dated 16.03.2018 till the appeal proceedings pending before the first respondent is concluded. 2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the appeals filed by the petitioners under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905, are still pending consideration before the District Collector, 4.The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the appeals filed by the petitioners would be disposed of within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.In view of the abovesaid submissions, these Writ Petitions are disposed of directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeals filed by the petitioners on merits and in accordance with law, after affording sufficient opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
