records in respect of the impugned order passed by the 4th respondent vide his office Letter No.Ka.No.U.Min.Po/U/N/Aru/Ko.Ka/A.No.055/17 dated 20.02.2017 changing the Tariff from Tariff III-A2 to Tariff III-B and the consequential impugned order passed by the 5th respondent vide Ka.No.U.Ka.No./Va.P/Aru/Ka.Me.1/Ko Thavani/A.No.510 dated 15.06.2017 with regard to the service connection bearing No.203.011.1022 given to the petitioner's power loom Twisting factory at 188/2, Madurai Road, Aruppukottai, Virudhunagar District is concerned and quash the same and consequently, direct the 4th respondent to adjust the excess amount collected from the petitioner to his credit.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order of the 4th respondent in Letter No.

Ka.No.U.Min.Po/U/N/Aru/Ko.Ka/A.No.055/17 dated 20.02.2017, whereby the tariff applicable to the petitioner's service connection was revised from Tariff III-A2 to Tariff III-B, and the consequential order of the 5th respondent in Ka.No.U.Ka.No./Va.P/Aru/Ka.Me.1/Ko Thavani/A.No.510 dated 15.06.2017 relating to Service Connection No. 203.011.1022 provided to the petitioner's power loom twisting factory at No.188/2, Madurai Road, Aruppukottai, Virudhunagar District and to quash the said orders and 2/4

consequently direct the 4th respondent to adjust the excess amount collected to his credit.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner has to approach the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum for redressal of the grievance raised in this writ petition.

3. In view of the aforesaid submission, this Court is of the considered view that the relief sought for cannot be granted in this writ petition, and that the petitioner must necessarily approach the competent Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum for appropriate remedy.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the petitioner to work out his remedy before the concerned Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum. While considering the petitioner's grievance, the said Forum shall take into account the period during which the present writ petition remained pending before this Court, when considering limitation.
