ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition had been filed to direct the respondents to ensure the life and limb of the petitioners from the hands of 3rd respondent by providing adequate police protection to them based on the representation, dated 26.07.2023.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that based on the complaint given by father of the petitioner, a case was registered in Cr.No.151 of 2023 on 25.07.2023 under Women Missing. It is stated in the complaint that Abitha is his daughter and undergoing Second Year B.A. Course in EVR College, Trichy. On 24.07.2023 she was found missing. On the next day, the petitioner made a representation before the second respondent stating that she was in love with one Muruganantham and they performed marriage on 24.07.2023 and the same was also known to her parents. Later, they also accepted the marriage. Seeking police protection due to the threat made by the third respondent, who is none other than her uncle this petition has been filed.

3.In view of the above submission, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry based on the representation made by the petitioner on 26.07.2023, within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
