ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by the Field Officer working for the third respondent/Rubber Corporation seeking Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider his representation dated 24.06.2022 in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.420 Finance (Pay Cell) Department dated 12.11.2020.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the Writ Petitioner, the post of the Field Officer is equivalent to the post of Forest Ranger as per the Arasu Rubber Corporation Limited Service Rules. Therefore, the benefits confirmed upon the Forest Ranger under G.O.Ms.No.420 Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 12.11.2020 are also applicable to him. To seek the said benefits, the petitioner had submitted a representation to the third respondent on 24.06.2022 and so far, the same has not been considered.

2. Considering the above submissions, the third respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the Writ Petitioner dated 24.06.2022 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law and if he finds merit, forward the files to the second respondent for passing appropriate orders, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this 2/4

order.
