: Contemnor/1st Respondents PRAYER: Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, praying to issue a notice of contempt to the respondent for not obeying the orders of this Court passed in W.P.(MD)No.13985 of 2019, dated 21.06.2019 and punish the respondent in accordance with law. Prayer in WP(MD). 13985/ 2019 :

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to conclude the Appeal proceedings in e/f/nk/K/kD rp4/29527/2007 on his file, of the petitioner for enhanced compensation of the acquired lands to an extent of 841 Sq.Mt in S.F.No. 178/4A, an extent of 1080 Sq.Mt in S.F.No.178/5A and an extent of 443 Sq.Mt in S.F.No.178/6A of Adhavathur (East), Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District within time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Court, by order dated 21.06.2019 in the Writ Petition, has directed the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner under Section 3(G)(5) of the National Highways Act for enhancement of the compensation awarded by the competent authority in respect of the lands of the petitioner acquired by the respondents.

Cont.P(MD)No.1294 of 2019 of the District Collector in Arbitration No.25 of 2007, dated 13.10.2019 upholding the order of the competent authority fixing compensation for the lands. Recording compliance, this Contempt Petition is closed. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to challenge the award of the District Collector dated 13.10.2019 in the manner known to law. No costs.
