PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to process and grant appropriate revenue documents/patta for the petitioner's residential property located at Village Re-Survey Number 178/6, Natham UDR survey number 43/6, Sakkimangalam Bit - 2.

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 08.07.2025, and issue patta in respect of the property situated in re-survey No.178/6, Natham UDR S.No.43/6 Sakkimangalam Bit-2 Village, Madurai District. 2.According to the petitioner, he has been in possession and enjoyment of the subject property for several years by putting up residential house thereon. Based upon the possession, he has submitted an application before the second respondent on 08.07.2025, seeking to issue patta. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 3.The learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that the application of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

4.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 08.07.2025, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. 2/4

5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
