PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2025 while conducting Aadi Therottam held on 09.08.2025 considering the pendency of O.A.No.16 of 2019 pending before the Joint Commissioner of H.R. and C.E., Madurai between the Petitioner and the 4th respondent herein and not to give any Special Honour (Parivatta Mariyathai) to 4th respondent.

ORDER
This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents 1 to 3 and 5, by dispensing with notice on the fourth respondent as no adverse orders are going to be passed against the fourth respondent at this stage.
2. Although the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, it is noticed that the petitioner has filed Original Application in O.A.No.16 of 2019 before the Joint Commissioner of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments
Department, Madurai as early as 2019. However, the same has not been disposed of by the Joint Commissioner.
3. Considering the same, the Joint Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Madurai is suo motu impleaded as the fifth respondent in this Writ Petition. There shall be a direction to the fifth respondent/Joint Commissioner to dispose of the Original Application in O.A.No.16 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible. In case the petitioner wants any interim relief, he may move the Joint Commissioner for the same. If such an application is filed, the fifth respondent/Joint Commissioner shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Needless to state, before passing any order, the petitioner and the fourth respondent shall be heard.
4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
