(In Crime No.1775 of 2018) : Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code praying to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.1775 of 2018, on the file of the second respondent to any other Investigation Officer and monitoring the same.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.1775 of 2018, on the file of the first respondent to any other Investigation Officer and monitoring the same.

2. It is stated in the status report filed by the second respondent that 32 persons who involved in similar nature of crimes and they also recorded the statements from the complainant and other related witnesses under Section 161(3) Cr.P.C. Therefore, at this stage, transfer of investigation would affect the entire investigation.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. However, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of Three (3) months, from the date of receipt of copy of the order. The first respondent is directed to monitor the investigation of the second respondent and also ensure that the second respondent file a final report as directed by this Court.

4. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
