ORDER

The petitioner claims that the land in Survey Nos.349/1A, 349/1B situated at Muthuanayakampatti, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District was assigned to his father by the Boomithanam Board. After his demise, he is in possession of the said land. Therefore, he submitted an application dated 26.08.2020 to the 1st respondent, requesting him to grant "Boomithana Patta" in his name. Based on the said application, the 1st respondent, vide his Memo dated 05.01.2021, directed the 2nd respondent to conduct an enquiry and submit a report, who in turn, directed the Revenue Inspector, Korikadam to conduct an enquiry and submit a report. Thereafter, the 2nd respondent, vide his letter dated 05.07.2022, directed him to appear before him on 20.07.2022. As directed by the 2nd respondent, the petitioner appeared before him on 20.07.2022 and submitted all the records. In spite of repeated reminders, the respondents have not acted upon the same. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 2/4

Mr.M.Sarangan, learned Additional Government, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that the petitioner is not having any locus to submit an application for grant of patta in his name in respect of the land in Survey Nos.349/1A and 349/1B of Muthuanayakampatti, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District.

3. Considering the fact that the petitioner's application dated 26.08.2020 is still pending, this Court directs the respondents to take a decision on the petitioner's application dated 26.08.2020 and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
