This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C seeking for a direction to the learned Magistrate No.II, Karur, to dispose of C.C.No.28 of 2021, within a reasonable period being fixed by this Court. 1/4

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner / defacto complaint that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.07 of 2018 for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420 and 506 (i) of I.P.C. and on completion of investigation, the same has been altered and charge sheet was filed in C.C.No.28 of 2021 for the offences under Sections 120 (b), 406 and 428 of I.P.C. It is submitted that the trial is not being progressed in fast peace.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on the other hand submits that charges have already been framed and the case has been posted on 16.08.2023 for examination of L.W.1 to L.W.3 and that the prosecution will produce the witness as directed.

4. Considering the circumstances and the submissions made by both sides, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Karur, to expedite the disposal of C.C.No.28 of 2021 and dispose of the same as quickly as possible not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
