This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house bearing Door No. 44, J.R. Road, Venkatchalapuram, Subramaniyapuram, Madurai, by obtaining an indemnity bond based on the representation dated 29.05.2026, within such time as may be fixed by this Court.
2. Heard Ms.S.Jansirani, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel, appearing on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.R.Ramasamy, learned Counsel for the State, appearing on behalf of the second respondent.

3. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had made a representation dated 29.05.2026 seeking electricity connection for his house. However, as the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed the present writ petitio before this Court.
5. The learned counsel further submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.05.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
6. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.05.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as 3/6
possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
