PRAYER: Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to disburse the retirement benefit of the petitioner forthwith on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner on 04.03.2019. ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for a mandamus, directing the respondent to disburse the retirement benefit of the petitioner forthwith on the basis of the representation given by him on 04.03.2019.

2.Mr.C.Ramar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. Mr.M.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 4 &

5. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The petitioner was working as Assistant in the office of the third respondent for the past 33 years and he was retired from service on 31.07.2013 on attaining the age of superannuation. The respondents have not disbursed the retirement benefits to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondent on 04.03.2019, but they have not passed any orders sofar. Hence, the petitioner has come out with the present writ petition.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, it is suffice to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 04.03.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
