ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.1216 of 2018, dated 26.06.2018 and file the final report within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court. 2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.1216 of 2018, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406 & 420 IPC on 26.06.2018. The grievance of the petitioner is that even after lapse of three years, there is no progress in the investigation.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.side) for the respondent would submit that so far no witness has been examined. 4.It appears that so far no steps have been taken by the Investigating Officer. Let the entire file be placed before the Commissioner of Police, Madurai City, so that he can peruse the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
Crl.O.P.(MD)No.16598 of 2021 same and find out why the matter is kept pending without making any steps for recording the statement of witnesses. Report be filed before the Registry. The respondent is directed to complete the investigation within 6 months.
