ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents herein to settle the entire retirement benefits due and payable to the petitioner along with interest thereon at the rate of 24% per annum within any reasonable time.

2. The petitioner was working as Senior Conductor from 01.10.2007 in the respondent corporation. After serving for a period of 15 years, he retired from service on attaining age of superannuation on 31.05.2023. However, the retirement benefits of the petitioner are not settled so far. Hence, the petitioner made a representation, dated 15.06.2023 and that was delivered to the respondents on 16.06.2023. However, the same is of no avail. Hence, this writ petition came to be filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

In view of the above said facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 15.06.2023 and settle the entire benefits which is due and payable to the petitioner along with interest at the rate of 6% within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands allowed.
