PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to provide adequate police protection and prevent the sixth respondent from creating disharmony situation among the students, teachers and facility during the event of Independence day function scheduled held on 15.08.2024 at Limra Matriculation Hr.Sec.School campus of Thirupattur Town and Taluk, Sivagangai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2024 forthwith. ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to provide adequate police protection and prevent the sixth respondent from creating disharmony situation among the students, teachers and facility during the event of Independence day function scheduled to be held on 15.08.2024 at Limra Matriculation Higher Secondary School campus of Thirupattur Town and Taluk, Sivagangai District by considering the writ petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2024 forthwith.

2. Mr.P.Kottai Chamy, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) takes notice for the respondents 1 to 5. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that the writ petitioner has sent a representation dated 29.06.2024 seeking police protection, to the respondents 1 to 5 and that since no order has been passed till now, the writ petitioner was constrained to approach this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that the writ petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2024 is pending before the fourth respondent and that the fourth respondent may be directed to consider the representation.

5. Considering the above, the fourth respondent is hereby directed to consider the writ petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2024 and take 3/6

a decision today (14.08.2024) itself.

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
