ORDER

The Petitioner has filed this Criminal Original Petition seeking for a direction to the Respondents to provide necessary police protection to revenue and survey authorities to survey the Petitioner's land in Survey No.351/4 at Idayamelur village and group, Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai District, by considering the Petitioner's representation, dated 29.08.2022. 2.Mr.R.Sivakumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) takes notice for the Respondent/s.

3.The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner submits that there is a dispute with the adjacent land owner regarding possession and the Petitioner had approached the revenue authorities seeking to measure the property, which is in his enjoyment and the Petitioner was ready to bear necessary expenses for survey of his land and the revenue Officials visit. An earlier writ petition filed by the very same Petitioner in WP(MD)No.21470 of 2021 seeking to survey the Petitioner's land, which was ordered. In continuation of the same, the Petitioner seeks for Police protection.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the Respondent/s submits that CSR was issued regarding the complaint and the Petitioner had given a written undertaking that he does not want to proceed with the complaint.

5.Considering the submission of the learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner that measuring the property will resolve the dispute, the Respondents are directed to extend police protection to the visit of the Revenue Officials as well as Survey Officials for measuring the property in dispute. At the time of visit of the Revenue Officials as well as Survey Officials, the Petitioner shall extend cooperation with the Revenue Officials as well as Survey Officials, so as to carry out their work without any hindrance. 6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. 14.09.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No sm 3/4
