ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner as sanitary worker in the third respondent Corporation on compassionate ground by considering her representation, dated 21.06.2019.

2. Mr.S.Dhayalan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.J.Lawrance, learned counsel accepts notice for the third respondent.

3. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. According to the petitioner, her husband Alagar was working in the third respondent / Corporation as a sweeper in the 8th Ward of the said Corporation. He died on 31.01.2019, while in service, leaving behind the petitioner and her two daughters, namely Hemavathy and Nathiya as his legal heirs. After the death of her husband, her family is in financial crisis and there is no movable and immovable property belongs to the petitioner and no one is in Government service from her family. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 21.06.2019 to the respondents seeking appointment to her on compassionate ground.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel appearing for the third respondent submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered by the respondents within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel appearing for the third respondent.

7. Considering the nature of the relief sought for in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.06.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
