ORDER

The petitioner claims that on 08.02.2013, he purchased the land in Survey No.864/2B1 to an extent of 38 cents situated at Sathankulam Village, Subrayapuram Panchayat, Thoothukudi District, vide document No.261/2013 and patta also stands in his name. However, the 3rd respondent obtained forged patta for the land in Survey No. 864/2B1. Therefore, he has preferred an appeal before the first respondent, under the Patta Pass Book Act, requesting him to cancel the forged patta obtained by the 3rd respondent. Since the said appeal has not been decided sofar, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the official respondents, on instructions, 2/4

submits that enquiry has already been completed and the 1st respondent would dispose of the petitioner's appeal within a reasonable time.

3. In view of the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
