ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking direction to the the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.123 of 2015 pending on the file of the respondent police /C2- Subramaniyapuram Crime Police Station, Madurai City and to lay the charge sheet at an earlier date.
2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.123 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 406 r/w 34 IPC on 26.01.2015. The grievance of the petitioner is that even after a lapse of six years, there is no progress in the investigation. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that so far four witnesses have been examined. Except the second accused all are residing in abroad. Hence, the investigation is kept pending. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.16603 of 2021 4.Recording the submission and accepting the request made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.side), there shall be a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of 5 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After filing final report before the concerned court, compliance report must be submitted to the Registry.
5.This petition is disposed of, accordingly.
