The present Writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction against the respondents to re-

conduct the Grama Sabha Meeting at Pillaiyarkulam Village Panchayat, Thiruchuli Taluk in Virudhunagar District. 2.In the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, it had been stated that the respondents should have given notice to the villagers about the conducting a Grama Sabha Meeting. It is stated that the Grama Sabha Meeting was held on 02.10.2021 and it has been further stated that however, the villagers were prevented to present their grievance on the said Grama Sabha Meeting. It was therefore claimed that the Grama Sabha Meeting should be reconvened. A Mandamus in that regard unfortunately, not to be given. The meeting is conducted under the rules and regulations which governs such meeting and it is not for the Court to enter into such a discussion of conducting Grama Sabha Meeting. 3.

The petitioner has approached this Court for relief which can never be granted. With respect to the quorum and with respect to whether the petitioners were prevented from raising grievances, the petitioner will necessarily have to give representation to the concerned officials, but direction can never be given to conduct a Grama Sabha Meeting.
