ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the offence punishable under Sections 379 of IPC and 21(1) of Mines and Minerals Act, 1957 in Crime No.691 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has illegally transported 1/4 unit of river sand. Therefore, the present case came to be registered.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner is having six previous cases in Crime Nos.207 of 2021, 1246 of 2020, 1396 of 2020, 1470 of 2020, 655 of 2021, 1242 of 2020 of Thiruvaiyaru Police Station.

5. Considering the nature of offence and the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
