O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ on hand has been instituted to direct the respondents herein to re-fix the lease period of the shops in the commercial complex near fruit market, Maattuthavani, Melur Road, of the second respondent herein by cancelling lease or license of the allottees violating the conditions by allotting the shops to the people of ward No. 33 of the second respondent corporation based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2025 made to the respondents.
2.The petitioner is neither a lessee nor an allottee of any shopping complex in Madurai Corporation. Therefore, the relief sought for to refix the lease period of the shops in commercial complex cannot be 2/5
considered by this Court. Since the lease period terms and conditions governed under the provisions of the statutes and rules in force, the authorities are expected to follow the Act and rules scrupulously. 3.In the event of conducting public auction to the Corporation complexes equal opportunity is to be provided to all eligible persons who all are willing to participate in the process of auction. In the event of any irregularity or illegality, aggrieved person is at liberty to approach the competent Court of law. In the present case, the petitioner has not established any infringement of his rights nor violation of any of the provisions of the Act and rules, 4.Thus, the writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
