O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to survey and measure the property of the petitioner in new Survey No.376/7 measuring an extent of 25 Cents at Koviloor Village, Gandarvakkottai Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner's father-in-law viz., Lakshmana Udayar was allotted 15 cents of land in the above said survey number and her possession may be sub-divided and separate patta may be issued in favour of the writ petitioner.

3. However, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent has pointed out that for the said survey number, the joint patta stands in the name of 27 persons and it is difficult to carry out the sub2/4

division and issue separate patta proceedings. The petitioner has submitted her representation on 29.04.2014 along with the fees.

4. Hence, the first respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry to find out the feasibility of sub-division and grant of separate patta in favour of the writ petitioner based on the documents and the same shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
