This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.258 of 2023 on the file of the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 147, 448, 323 and 379 of I.P.C. against the accused persons as expeditiously as possible.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner was sent out of the house by his own son and daughter-in-law and thereby, he filed a complaint, basing on which, a case has been registered on 11.06.2023 in Crime No.258 of 2023 for the offences under Sections 147, 448, 323 and 379 of I.P.C.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the FIR is of very recent one and taking into consideration of the fact that the petitioner and accused are family members and also the fact that DVC and partition suits are pending among themselves, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) requested time to complete the investigation.

4. Considering the submissions made by both sides and on perusal of records, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible and file a final report before the concerned Court not later than twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
