Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records relating to the impugned order made by the respondent in proceedings of the respondent in 2100017_CPC_MDU and 2100018_CPC_MDU dated 09.09.2021 and quash the same as illegal.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to quash the impugned order passed by the first respondent vide proceedings in 2100017_CPC_MDU and 2100018_CPC_MDU dated 09.09.2021, wherein the first respondent had rejected the petitioner's request stating that since the petitioner's passport No.L6880818 dated 20.01.2014 valid upto 19.01.2024 was already revoked on 19.02.2021, he may apply for passport furnishing correct information and thereafter, the same will be processed in accordance with the provisions of Indian Passports Act, 1967.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Mere perusal of the impugned order itself shows that the original passport of the petitioner, in respect of which the above writ petition has been filed, is valid only upto 19.01.2024. Hence, I do not find any reason to interfere

with the impugned order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed, however, liberty is granted to the petitioner to apply afresh for a passport furnishing the correct information. On such application being made, the first respondent shall consider the same in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
