This writ petition is seeking for a Mandamus to direct the respondent to disburse the compensation amount of Rs.2,48,391/- payable
to the petitioner in pursuant to the acquisition of his land in Survey No. 863/2 to an extent of 1930 Sq.Mt, situated at Chettikurichi Village, Aruppukkottai Taluk, Virudhunagar District, for the purpose of laying 4 way, National Highway Road.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the District Collector/the District Revenue Officer, Virudhunagar by his communication dated 18.01.2013, had informed the petitioner that a sum of Rs.2,48,391/- has been awarded for the value of the land that has been acquired from Rajalakshmi @ Rajathi Ammal, W/o.(Late)Boopathy Chettiar. The petitioner has been directed to produce various documents. It is the case of the petitioner that the land were acquired belonged to his mother. The is now willing to produce all his documents to substantiate his right to receive the compensation amount awarded in favour of his mother. 3.In the light of the said submission, the petitioner is directed to produce the documents that were required by the proceedings of the respondent dated 18.01.2013 within a period of two weeks from the date of
receipt of a copy of this order and on such production of the documents, the respondent is directed to disburse the amount, if the petitioner is proved his eligibility, within a period of four weeks thereafter. 4.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
