Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned Notification of Revised List of Deputy Tahsildars for the year 2009 in ROC.No.4697/2014/A11, dated 27.02.2014 on the file of the Respondent No.3 and quash the same as illegal and consequently to direct the Respondent No.2 to place the petitioner in the Backlog Vacancy in the List of Deputy Tahsildars for Madurai District for the year 2009 and consequently to direct the Respondent No.3 to include the petitioner in the panel of Tahsildars for Madurai District for the year 2013 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The learned counsels on either side submitted that in the judgment of Honourable Supreme Court in M.Rathinaswami and others etc., Vs. State of Tamil Nadu and others etc., in S.L.P.No.8848 of 2008, the Honourable Supreme Court has settled the matter finally. In view of the above judgment, in the case of A.Rajagopalan etc., Vs. The District Collector, Thiruchirappalli District and others and etc., in Civil Appeal Nos.251 to 256 of 2015, the Honourable Supreme Court reiterated the principles.

2.However, the learned Additional Government Pleader stated that vide notification, dated 16.09.2019, the petitioner's name was also included in the list of Tahsildar for the year 2011 which was redrawn by the notification. Since the petitioner has been given the relief, it is represented by the counsels on either side that the writ petition has become infructuous and may be closed. 3.Accordingly, this Writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
