Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to dispose petitioner's appeal, dated 02.06.2025. For Petitioner :

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to first respondent to dispose of his appeal (revision), dated 02.06.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, he filed an application before SubCollector, Padmanabhapuram, seeking cancellation of sub-division effected in respect of survey number 636/3 of Manavalakurichi Village, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanyakumari District. The said application was dismissed by Sub-Collector, by order, dated 30.04.2025. Challenging the said order, the petitioner preferred an appeal (revision) before first respondent on 02.06.2025. The same is not yet taken up for consideration. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for first respondent, submits that the appeal submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, first respondent is directed to consider the appeal (revision) filed by the petitioner, dated 02.06.2025, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to petitioner and private respondents 2 to 4.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. 18.07.2025 NCC :
