Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to conduct enquiry and to issue legal heir certificate of the petitioner's husband Mr. Dhanaram@Perumal, S/o. Muthukaruppan who was not found alive for the past 38 years based on the petitioners representation dated 11.06.2025 within time frame as stipulated by this Court. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the second respondent to conduct enquiry and to issue legal heir certificate of the petitioner's husband, namely, Mr. Dhanaram@Perumal, S/o. Muthukaruppan, who was not found alive for the past 38 years based on the petitioner's representation dated 11.06.2025.

2. The petitioner claims to be the sole legal heir of her deceased husband late. Mr. Dhanaram@Perumal, who went missing since 1987. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's son died on 08.07.2022 and baring the petitioner there are no other legal heirs of the deceased Mr. Dhanaram@Perumal. The petitioner has also filed a copy of the legal heir certificate issued in the name of the petitioner's father-in-law namely, Muthukaruppan, who died on 06.01.2014, wherein the petitioner's husband is shown at Serial No.4.

3. The petitioner was married to late Dhanaram@Perumal on 22.08.1985 and her husband went missing in the year 1987 and that the petitioner's son was born on 07.06.1988 after her husband had gone missing. 2/4

4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation dated 11.06.2025 will be considered and disposed of within a period of six weeks.

5. Recording the same, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.06.2025 and appropriate orders will be passed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
