PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue non traceable certificate to the petitioner in the documents mentioned in the complaint dated 27.04.2023 in C.S.R.No.254 of 2023.

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a direction to the respondents to issue non traceable certificate to the petitioner.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has lost original registered sale deeds bearing document Nos.1899 of 1978 and 2619 of 1981 on the file of the the Sub Registrar, Manapparai. The petitioner, in order to obtain certified copy of the sale deeds, has requested the respondent police to issue non-traceable certificate, so that the petitioner will get a certified copy of the sale deeds, however, the respondent police stated to have not complied with the said request.

3. It is submitted by learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) that there is a discrepancy in the name of the petitioner with reference to the Aadhar Card when compared to the copy of the Aadhar, which he has a copy of the original documents, which is supposed to have been lost.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the clarification has already been given by the Sub Registrar and the Sub Registrar has also stated to have been clarified the same to the Police and similarly, the Village Administrative Officer has also stated to have given a Certificate.

5. Considering the same, the petitioner is directed to approach the Police and file all the documents, on which, the respondent Police are directed to provide a Certificate as required by the petitioner after following the circular 2/4

issued by the office of the Director General of Police/Head of Police Force, Chennai-4, dated 01.04.2022. On making of such application, the respondent police are directed to dispose of the same without any delay and furnish the certificate as required.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
