ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 2 and 3 herein to disburse the death compensation amount of Rs.31,65,107/- to the petitioner, based on his representation dated 24.05.2025, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's representation is under consideration. He further submitted that the District Collector / second respondent ought to submit a report to the Joint Secretary to Government / first respondent and thereafter, the Joint Secretary would take appropriate action in accordance with law.

3. In view of the above, this Court is directing the District Collector / second respondent to submit a report to the Joint Secretary to Government, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such report, the Joint Secretary to the Government / first respondent shall consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders in 2/4

accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks therefrom.

4. With the above said directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
