The Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the contemnor/
second respondent for disobedience and failure to comply with the order of this Court dated 09.02.2024 in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2026 of 2024.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the contemnor would submit that the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the police would complete the investigation within the reasonable time of three months and recording the same, the criminal original petition was ordered to be closed. He would further submit that in pursuance of the same, the police has completed the investigation and filed negative report before the jurisdictional Court after serving RCS notice to the petitioner/ defacto complainant.
3. Recording the same, this Contempt Petition stands disposed of. The petitioner is at liberty to file a protest petition before the jurisdictional Court, if so advised.
