This criminal original petition has been filed for quashing the First Information Report in Crime No.6 of 2020 registered on the file of the Inspector of Police, All Women police station, Virudhunagar.

2. The defacto complainant Aishwaria Rajam is the third respondent herein. It is a matrimonial complaint. The defaco complainant Aishwaria Rajam is present before this Court. She is identified by Ms.G.Petchiammal, WHC-228, attached to the second respondent police station. It is stated that the marriage between the first petitioner and the defacto complainant has already been dissolved by mutual consent on 04.10.2021. CRL.O.P.(MD)NO.16789 OF 2021 categorically stated before me that she has no objection for quashing the impugned First Information Report. A joint compromise memo dated 09.11.2021 has been filed.

3. When the defacto complainant herself wants to give a quietus to the issue, no purpose will be served in keeping the impugned First Information Report alive. Therefore, the impugned First Information Report is quashed. This criminal original petition is allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
