O R D E R

This contempt petition is filed that the order of this Court in W.P.(MD). No. 5706 of 2011, dated 22.12.2023 has not been complied with.

2.The learned Additional Advocate General, assisted by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submits that the Government have issued a Government Order in G.O(D).No.1057, dated 09.09.2024, accorded sanction for a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- towards compensation to Mrs.T.Vasanthi, W/o Late Thirunavukkarasu, and also directed the Director General of Police/Head of Police Force, to take disciplinary action and to recover the sanctioned amount from the erred police officials, as directed by this Court in WP(MD) No.5706 of 2011, dated 22.12.2023. A copy of the Government order has also been placed before this Court.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General and placing appreciation to the learned Additional Advocate General for the steps taken, this contempt petition is closed.
