Prayer in WP(MD)No.16463 of 2024 :- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a writ of Mandamus direct the respondents to grant permission to celebrate the Kovil Kodai in the said temple namely Shri Vannaarmadan Kovil, Kalakkudi Situated at Manur Taluk, Tirunelveli going to be held on 30.08.2024 based upon the petitioner representation dated 30.06.2024.

ORDER:- This Writ Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.R.Anand, Advocate for the Petitioner Mr.S.Gokulraj, Advocate of the 1st Respondent and of Mr.R.Ragavendran, Government Advocate for the Respondents 2 to 4, this Court made the following order:- W.P.(MD)No.16463 of 2024 was allowed by me on the premise that the issue was one between the writ petitioner and the authorities. I specifically recorded that there is no rival party. In this W.M.P, it is alleged that the writ petitioner Kannan cannot claim to be the sole representative of the festival committee. I do not want to go into the rival aspects. This issue will have to be decided in the main writ petition. In this view of the matter, the order dated 23.07.2024 is recalled. W.M.P.(MD) No.16633 of 2024 is allowed.
