Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to restore the patta in the petitioner's name, based on the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.05.2025.

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to respondents 1 to 3 to restore the patta in his name, by considering his representation, dated 29.05.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, the property situated in Survey No. 2324/21 in Keelakudalur West Village, Uttamapalayam Taluk, Theni District, is the ancestral property of the petitioner's family and patta for the said property was originally issued in the name of petitioner's father - Abdul Kani. During digitization of revenue records, the names of some third parties are included in respect of the subject property in digital records. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the respondents on 12.06.2025, seeking deletion of third party names and restoration of petitioner's father's name in the digital patta. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that the representation of the petitioner is

already under consideration of third respondent and enquiry is fixed on 28.07.2025.

4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.06.2025, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to petitioner and the person(s) in whose name(s) the digital revenue records stand as on today.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. 18.07.2025 NCC :
