ORDER
The writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order of the 3rd respondent dated 30.03.2023 and to direct the 2nd respondent to reconsider the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2023 and to appoint the petitioner under compassionate appointment scheme within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondents.
3. The petitioner was studying 8th standard at the time when his father died on 10.09.2017. His father was working as a Wireman in the respondent Board and he died while in harness. Hence, the petitioner has 2/5
submitted an application on 15.06.2020 to the respondents for compassionate appointment. However, his application was rejected on the ground that the application was submitted by the petitioner when he was 15 years old and hence, his case cannot be considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.
4. It is seen that the petitioner's father died due to electrocution. Hence, he has filed the above application for compassionate appointment, which is within the time limit prescribed under the scheme.

In the light of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent herein to reconsider the petitioner's application dated 15.06.2020 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after making due enquiry, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case or the claim of the petitioner and it is open to the 1st respondent to consider the same on its own merits.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
